Turquoise River Amulet
This necklace was designed by Jessica R. Metcalfe (Turtle Mountain Chippewa) and features a large pendant strung on a long chocolate brown deerskin lace and accented with a silver feather.
The pendant is a mineral stone from Canada believed to bring patience, awareness, and calmness, while reducing stress, anger, and negativity. Indeed, the size of this amulet is perfect to grasp or hold in the palm, or rub with a thumb, during trying times - a way to ground yourself and breathe. The silver feather is a reminder that we must always work hard for the betterment of our communities: for many Native Nations, eagle feathers were gifted to those who earned them through acts of bravery, selflessness, leadership, and perseverance.
The deerskin lace is adjustable to wear a variety of ways with up to 32" of length. The large pendant is thick and measures approximately 1” wide by 2” long. Each pendant is slightly different. This item ships from the US.
