Bold Heishi Necklace (Ridge)

This powerfully bold necklace by Santo Domingo Pueblo artist Pula Cabalaza features large disc beads in a variety of materials. Heishi beads have been made since ancient times and were hand-carved from various shells, stones, and mineral rocks. They continue to be highly treasured, incorporated into jewelry and adornment, and passed down and cherished. 

Heishi are typically small disc-shaped beads, but these are large and vibrant. The necklace features hand rolled turquoise and jet. It measures 20" long with a clasp closure. One of a kind. This item ships from the US.
