Alba Scarf (Burgundy)

This soft and luxurious chalina was made in Choyó, Santiago el Pinar, and it took 43 hours of artisan work to complete it. The chalina was made using an ancestral technique called backstrap loom. Each piece is unique and unrepeatable, due to its artisanal work it can present slight variations in the patterns.

This dramatic piece weaves a basic color palette of yellow, blue, and red cotton to create everlasting timeless rich hues in mustard yellow, burgundy wine, and mauve. It is the perfect accessory for everyday wear and elegant soirees alike.

Santiago el Pinar, el Choyo, is one of the four craftswomen cooperatives and co-owners of Juxta Nation. This spectacular group of 15 female artisans have mastered the backstrap loom weaving technique in Chiapas, México.
