Waabigwan Beaded Headband (Silver)

$65.00

This headband was made by Kellie Henry (Turtle Mountain Chippewa) and features sparkling Delica beads in gunmetal and silver

The pendant measures 3" and is backed with buckskin. It is inspired by traditional Native American Woodlands floral beadwork updated with contemporary color combinations. And this, I think, reflects a blossoming of our Native cultures, like a perennial flower that had to go dormant through winter due to harsh conditions, now is our Indigenous spring.

The headband is stretch material. Each pendant is hand-constructed and one-of-a-kind. Waabigwan means flower in Anishinaabemowin, the Chippewa language. Whether it's a gift for yourself or for someone special in your life, this headband comes packaged in a jewelry box with ribbon. This item ships from the US.
